Choosing
Which Package Fits How You Drive
Think about where your miles come from. If you drive mostly in town with some highway, Interstate covers the bumper, the leading edge of the hood and fenders, and the mirrors, which is where most chips land. If you commute daily on I-85 toward Greenville or drive long trips, Long Distance Driver removes the visible hood line and adds headlights and door edges, which take more abuse at highway speeds.
If you drive gravel roads, tow a boat to Lake Hartwell ramps or take a truck off pavement, the rocker panels and lower doors get sandblasted by your own tires. That's what the Off Roader package adds. Full Car makes the most sense for high-value or hard-to-repaint cars, or owners who want the doors, quarters and roof covered too.
The film
About LLumar Platinum PPF
LLumar Platinum is a clear urethane film with a high-gloss top coat. LLumar describes the gloss version's surface as self-healing, using heat from your engine or sunlight to reduce swirl marks and minor scratches, and says its HydroGard technology creates a water-repellent barrier that resists stains. In practice, light marring levels out on a warm day; deep cuts don't heal.
LLumar backs its Platinum Gloss and Platinum Extra films with a 10-year manufacturer's limited warranty, with certain restrictions that the dealer explains. Under federal warranty law, a limited warranty can set conditions, which is why the written terms matter. Ask us for the current LLumar warranty details for the film and finish you choose before you book.
- Gloss
- Clear and high-gloss, designed to blend with factory paint. The default choice for most cars.
- Matte
- Protects a factory matte finish without making it shiny, or turns gloss paint into a satin look. Gloss vs matte PPF
- Black
- Used for roofs, pillars, trim and accents where you want a black finish plus protection. Black and colored PPF
- Extra-thick
- LLumar describes Platinum Extra as its thickest paint protection film, for drivers who see gravel roads or track use as well as daily driving. When thicker film makes sense

Inspection and prep
We inspect the paint, point out existing chips or defects that film would cover, and confirm the final price. The paint is washed and decontaminated so nothing gets trapped under the film.
Installation
Film is laid on each panel, positioned and squeegeed into place, and edges are finished. Heat helps the film settle and conform.
Pickup
We go over what's normal in the first days, such as small moisture pockets that dry out, and how to wash the film.
Before film
Paint Condition and Prep
Film is clear, so it shows what's underneath. Chips, swirls and scratches under the film stay visible. On a new car that's rarely an issue. On a car that's a few years old, we'll point out chips and swirl marks at inspection so you can decide whether to touch up or polish before film goes on.
If the paint needs polishing first, a 1-Step Paint Correction starts at $799.99 and takes about 2 days; a 2-Step starts at $1,399.99 and takes about 3 days. Doing the correction first means the film protects paint at its best.
Combine
Film Plus a Ceramic Coating
PPF can be ceramic coated on top. A popular combination is film on the front end and an IGL coating over the film and the rest of the car. The film handles chips; the coating makes the whole car, film included, easier to wash and quicker to shed bugs, pollen and red clay dust.
Our coatings start at $699.98 for a 1-year IGL EZ, $899.98 for a 3-year IGL Quartz+ and $1,299.98 for a 5-year IGL Kenzo on a coupe. We can quote film and coating together.

Common questions
How much does PPF cost on a truck in Anderson?
Our packages are priced by coverage, starting at $1,199.99 for Interstate, $2,199.99 for Long Distance Driver and $5,499.99 for Full Car. Trucks that see gravel or tow often suit the Off Roader package, which adds rocker panels; call for a quote. Large hoods and bumpers can affect the final price, which we confirm before install.
Can you install PPF on a car with existing chips?
Yes, but film won't hide them. Chips stay visible under clear film, and the film seals them in. Small chips can be touched up before install. We'll point them out at inspection so you can decide whether to repair them first or accept them and protect the paint from new damage.
Can I get PPF on just my headlights or mirrors?
Our published packages bundle the highest-impact panels, and headlights are part of Long Distance Driver and Off Roader. If you want something different, request a quote and tell us the panels you're interested in; we'll tell you what we can do and price it.
Do you offer colored or matte film?
Yes. LLumar Platinum PPF is available in gloss, black, matte and extra-thick versions. Matte film protects factory matte paint or gives gloss paint a satin look, and black film is popular for roofs and trim. Ask us which version suits your car when you request a quote.
Should I ceramic coat the film too?
Many owners do. A coating over the film makes it slicker and easier to wash, and helps bugs and pollen release. If you plan both, the film goes on first and the coating goes on afterward over the film and paint. We can quote both in one visit.
